The Campus Cherrywood Offices

The Campus at Cherrywood is a substantial retrofit and adaptation project that repositions a former business park as a contemporary workplace landscape with a distinct identity. A phased masterplan sets out a coordinated upgrade of office façades, entrances, lobbies and landlord spaces, bringing daylight, clarity and permeability to buildings that had previously operated as inward-facing workplaces. Refreshed elevations, new reception volumes and improved vertical and horizontal circulation contribute to a more legible and welcoming campus environment, while enhanced facilities for cyclists and active travel support the daily patterns of modern tenants.

A key component of the retrofit strategy is the transformation of the former underground car park entrance into a biophilic sunken garden, defined by a timber-and-glass canopy that provides shelter and orientation. This intervention establishes a new civic focus for the campus, connecting basement parking to the upper level and offering a sequence of planted terraces and external rooms for meeting, reflection and informal working.

Together, the upgrades demonstrate how targeted retrofit can extend the life and performance of existing commercial assets while supporting wellbeing, collaboration and sustainable mobility. The project exemplifies the role of adaptive reuse in redefining employment landscapes and in creating workplace environments that feel both contemporary and humane.
