The new Dublin headquarters for Fidelis is located in Station Building, a sensitively restored former Harcourt Train Station and protected structure. At the heart of the project is a brokers business lounge and bar, crafted from Corten steel and fumed oak with fluid, curved lines. This space serves as both a focal point for client engagement and a social hub for staff interaction.
The state-of-the-art boardroom features a bespoke fumed oak table with retractable screens, a feature Connemara marble wall, Donegal tweed upholstery and framed views of the historic building, combining functionality with elegance. Facilities include a high-performance gym, wellness suite, flexible games room, multiple collaborative nooks and meeting pods, a café and adaptable all-hands areas. The office accommodation, located on the mezzanine, benefits from abundant natural light through overhead rooflights, with the historic steel roof truss as a striking central feature.
A standout feature is the Walled Garden. Meeting rooms are carefully set back from the old stone walls, while interconnecting voids create opportunities to link the two floors with planting. One void incorporates a dedicated garden, planted with lush foliage and mature olive trees, blending interior and exterior spaces.
Sustainable and tactile materials further define the workspace. Clay works wall plaster improves air quality while adding depth and character, its layered strata complementing the natural stone pigment and the soft curves of circulation routes to create a calm and considered environment.
The final project is a refined fusion of heritage and contemporary design, delivering a workspace that is elegant, functional and inspiring. Fidelis were an engaged and visionary client, and the headquarters reflects their ambition and identity.
