MOLA were appointed in July 2019 as lead architects to deliver the design and interior fit out of Google’s new headquarters in The Hub building, Warsaw. MOLA led a talented multinational design team and delivered the project across three phases, covering a total of twenty two thousand square metres.
Spread over fourteen floors, the building provides around twelve hundred and fifty open plan desks and a wide range of dynamic spaces designed to support different ways of working and socialising.
Among the many standout features are a two hundred seat café, an extensive gym with supporting studios, and a one hundred and fifty seat auditorium — a space that required cutting out three hundred square metres of pre tensioned slab to create. The reception area is a lively and welcoming zone that includes an experience centre and a product demo space, making a strong first impression.
Elsewhere, staff can enjoy a calm library, a zen wellness area, fourteen distinctive micro kitchens, and over twenty individually themed nap rooms for moments of rest and recharge. There is also an inspiring UX lab, a creative makers room, a dedicated press room and plenty of games rooms to support a balanced workday.
Walking through the Hub on any given day, it is clear to see that this is more than just an office. It is a thriving community space designed to inspire and connect its people.
The project was proud to achieve LEED v4 Interior Design and Construction at Gold level and was named Best International Project at the 2022 Fit Out Awards.
