Capital Dock is a landmark mixed-use development occupying the final block of Dublin’s South Quays at Sir John Rogerson’s Quay. Located at the meeting point of the River Liffey and the Grand Canal Dock, the project proposes a new urban quarter that brings commercial offices, residential accommodation and shared amenities together within a coherent campus setting.
The development provides 32,000sqm of commercial office space and 17,600sqm of residential apartments supported by a suite of shared facilities that foster community and reflect evolving expectations of rental living. MOLA Architecture was appointed as Interior Architect for the commercial offices and tenant amenity spaces. The commercial component comprises three LEED Gold office buildings for which MOLA designed the CAT A office environments, reception and landlord areas and welfare facilities, working alongside the wider design team to support future tenant fit-out.
The residential amenities form a central element of the campus and contribute to the quality and value of the rental model. MOLA designed a series of communal spaces including lounges, a cinema room, games room, gymnasium, kitchen and co-working suites, together with a management suite and facilities for remote working. A consistent architectural language, high-quality materials and refined detailing give the mixed-use campus a unified character and a strong sense of place.
